Bicycle Rental Terms and Conditions

We are here to offer you the very best cycling experience on Rarotonga. Our Terms & Conditions protect you and us. Have a good read through them, so you clearly understand your rights and responsibilities.

HIRE CONDITIONS

1. Payment is required in full before commencing the hire. No refunds will be made for early returns
   or late pickups.
2. Equipment must be returned to Ride store or ready for pickup from the Accommodation on agreed time. Late returns will be charged an hourly rate of $10 until returned.
3. The hirer is liable for repair or replacement cost in cases of damage or loss of any item hired from Ride. This includes helmets, locks and other accessories supplied with the bike. Puncture repair will incur a $29 charge and a $10 call out fee. Any damage resulting from abuse or riding outside the intended bike application, including salt water damage, will result in repair or replacement cost being charged to your credit card.
4. Once in your possession, the bike is your responsibility. We recommend locking it any time it is our of sight. We reserve the right to charge the replacement cost to your credit card if the bike or any accessories get stolen.

TERMS & LIABILITY

1. I agree that in this release, “The Activity” means the hire of equipment that I am obtaining from Ride Rarotonga.
2. I am aware that taking part in this “Activity” involves certain inherent risks and might cause me or others injury or loss of property. Despite it I wish to take part in the Activity. I accept sole responsibility for my own safety.
3. I will not make any claim against Ride Rarotonga or its officer, employee or agents in respect of my taking part in the Activity, including for any injury or loss suffered by me or others; or any damage to any of my or others property regardless of how the injury, loss or damage occurs.
4. I understand that how I and others in my party undertake the Activity will affect the risks, and that Ride Rarotonga has no control over this. I will use the equipment in a safe and proper manner. I have inspected the equipment to be used in the Activity and find it to be in a good condition and fit for use.
5. I indemnify Ride Rarotonga against all claims, damages or losses (including costs), which incurs as the direct or indirect result of my taking part in the Activity, including costs of enforcing this release.
6. I am physically fit and there is no health or other reason why I should not participate in the Activity.
7. I agree that the laws of the Cook Islands apply. I agree that this release is binding on my family, my heirs, my legal assigns and my administrators and executors. I am 18 years of age or older. I have fully read and understood this release before accepting.

Optional Insurance

The cost of Ride Rarotonga insurance is just $2 a day. The policy covers theft of secured bicycle and accidental damage to the bike, including puncture repairs. Damage resulting from deliberate and careless use, including salt water damage, as well as theft of the bike not secured with supplied lock is not covered and will be charged as per terms and conditions above.
